The sea - it exerts a great appeal on artists from all over the world. Dutch „See Stücke“ and the representation of the ark as an aurochs biblical topic are world-famous. In this exhibition the view on the sea unites 10 artists and their work. Sometimes the works give a deep quiet, sometimes a strength and sometimes an elemental power. Woodcuts in a Japanese tradition, etchings, colourful wooden sculptures and firm acryl painting reflect the look of the artists from all over Germany; Also the world trade makes use of the sea. Without the container navigation, modern industrialized societies would not work anymore; they hold up big parts of the world trade. Without super tankers not only our fuel supply would run short.

The sea is the connection between the continents and therefore also between the people.

Art and work have more in common than it seems to at the first sight.

The exhibition took place from February 28th until May 15th (finissage) at the headquarters of Johannes Lübbering GmbH in Herzebrock-Clarholz.
